CDL - 160 Hour Program

The 160 hour program consists of 4 weeks of comprehensive training.  The first (1) week of  will consist of classroom-based knowledge.  During this week, you will learn the skills needed for your Class A permit test along with your Air Brake Endorsement and meet the requirements for the theory portion of the Entry

The 160 hour program consists of 4 weeks of comprehensive training.  The first (1) week of  will consist of classroom-based knowledge.  During this week, you will learn the skills needed for your Class A permit test along with your Air Brake Endorsement and meet the requirements for the theory portion of the Entry Level Drivers Training .  The remaining 3 weeks  will consist of road and range training to meet the requirements of the Entry Level Drivers Training. During the last week, we will administer the CDL testing. We are a certified third-party testing site.


The tuition of the 160 hour program is..........$5,500.00


Fees for the 160 hour program are around $500.  (Class A permit, DOT, Physical, DOT Drug test, Etc)

CDL - 200 Hour Program

The 200 hour program consists of 5 weeks of comprehensive training.  The first (1) week of will consist of classroom-based knowledge.  During this week, you will learn the skills needed for your Class A permit test along with your Air Brake Endorsement and meet the requirements for the theory portion of the Entry Level Drivers Training .  The remaining 3 weeks will consist of road and range training to meet the requirements of the Entry Level Drivers Training. During the last week, we will administer the CDL testing. We are a certified third-party testing site. The last week of training for the Hazmat and Tankers will be completed via an online training platform.


The tuition of the 200 hour program is..........$6,500.00


Fees for the 200 hour program are around $650.  (Class A permit, DOT, Physical, DOT Drug test, Hazmat, Tankers,  Etc.)

PA INSPECTION

This course will provide instruction for individuals to become PA State Inspection Mechanics. 


PA Department of Transportation will issue a PA State Inspection certification card upon successful completion of the course.


PA Inspection Costs - 

$180.00 - Registration fee, includes tactile test in one category. (Paper copy of Manual included)

$60.00 - Each additional category or to add an additional category to a license. (Paper copy of Manual included) 


A valid driver's license is required for each class of vehicle that you intend to inspect. Driver's license must be provided upon enrolling in the course and brought to each class. Individuals must be 18 years of age to enroll

Tactile Dates:

Date and time for tactile will be assigned by the instructor after successful completion of the written exams.

100% attendance-- MANDATORY  


 Please be aware that while every effort will be made to assist you in learning the skills needed to be a proficient inspector, a basic understanding of mechanics and vehicle repair is assumed upon registration. Novice students may struggle and may not be successful during their first attempt without this background. 

 

 It is recommended that students become familiar with the course content prior to the start of class. See the corresponding links below to the PennDOT website. 


Vehicle Equipment & Inspection Regulations Manual (Category 1, 2, & 3)


Enhanced Vehicle Safety Inspection Manual (Category 4)

Paper copies of the manual will be provided to each student. You can pick it up prior to class to study or study online and receive your copy on the first evening of class. 


Students are required to pick up a safety manual at least 1 week before class.  Students need to read the manual before the start of class.  


A MV-409 form needs to be filled out and returned the first night of class. You can pick one up at the Career Center or click on the link  to download it. 


A copy of your drivers license must be submitted prior to January 5 This can be done in person or you can send a picture to: adulted@clarioncte.org


CATEGORIES:

Category 1 - Car/Light truck (All passenger cars and trucks up to 17,000 pounds GVW and trailers under10,000 pounds GVW)

Category 2 - Motorcycle (Includes all motorcycles)

Category 3 - Heavy Truck (Includes trucks over 17,000 pounds GVW and trailers over 10,000 pounds GVW)

Category 4 - Enhanced (Persons authorized to perform enhanced vehicle inspections)

Category 5 - Document review (Persons authorized to review title applications and supporting documentation)

REFUND POLICY FOR ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES:




100% refund of the course cost if the student requests to cancel their registration 2 weeks prior to the start of class.

Online payment card fees are non-refundable.

No refund issued after the course begins.

No refund for "No Call/No Show" students, regardless of the reason.
